2021-06-25

Wells demonstrated its design competitiveness with its 4 new products receiving 6 international design awards. Wells received 6 awards with the 2 water purifiers, ‘Wells The One Home Cafe’, and its air purifier ‘Tornado’. The Wells The One Water Purifier digital desktop released earlier this year received awards in 2 areas, product design and user experience (UX), at the iF Design Awards. With the small size, the color lighting feature that displays the 7 levels of water temperature with colors, and the water outlet with rotating and height adjustment features, this product was met with positive acclaim.

Wells The One Home Cafe received positive recognition with its miniature design and its user convenience of being able to use one device for both tea and coffee, receiving awards from both the iF and Red Dot Awards.

The air purifier, Tornado, is the first product with the patented double cone intake structure applied. The fact that the difference in intake volume between the top and bottom of the device is minimized makes the air purification speed faster, thus receiving remarks that the design also improved the performance of the product.

The home plant cultivator, Wells Farm, is a product that gained popularity with the home gardening trend last year, where the sales more than doubled compared to the previous year. Wells explains that the elegant exterior goes well with the kitchen interior, and it also offers educational effects by allowing onlookers to observe the plant growth.

An individual affiliated with Wells claimed that, “we are providing user-optimized devices through innovation in product technology and design. We are going to achieve consistent growth during the latter half of this year based on strategies unique from other rental brands, such as presenting a new user-customized healthcare solution rental.”

Meanwhile, even amidst COVID-19 proliferation, Wells was able to acquire 100,000 rental accounts and grow 14.1% compared to last year. With the total number of accounts exceeding 800,000, Wells plans to continue its growth trend with the healthcare solution lineup that is expected to launch later this year.
