Wells launches air purifier with “Customized Filters” for different living environments and arrangements

2020-10-15

Health and wellness appliance brand Wells is launching a new air purifier product (model name: AM310) that offers users a variety of filter options they can choose from depending on their family makeup or living arrangements, which can be a critical factor in determining the air quality in various living spaces inside their homes.

The new Wells air purifier AM310 comes with a variety of customized filters to make sure users can choose the right filter that fits their daily living patterns or living arrangements. These customized filters are functionally proven filters, and an upgraded version of the seasonal filters first introduced to the consumer market by Wells. With the new customized filters, Wells is looking to offer its customers the ability to choose filters they need not just for a specific season, but also different daily environments.

In total, Wells will offer six different types of customized filters: the ultrafine dust collection filter; advanced indoor deodorizing filter; allergy filter; sick building syndrome deodorizing filter; smog filter; and the exclusive pet filter.

Users sensitive to fine dust can choose an ultrafine dust collection filter, while users who are unable to ventilate their homes often can choose the advanced indoor deodorizing filter, and users with allergies can use the allergy filter. For new homes or users with potential sick building syndrome concerns can use the sick building syndrome deodorizing filter, people who often light up scented candles or those living adjacent to roads with heavy traffic can filter out smoke and smog using the smog filter. And finally, users living with pets can use the exclusive pet filter to keep the air inside their homes crisp and clean. All filters are backed by the “Wells Manager Service,” which means an expert Wells care manager will visit each home to replace old filters periodically. In particular, users can switch the specific type of filter they would like to use at home every three months, giving them a chance to tailor their air care according to different family and household dynamics.

Along with the customized filters, each Wells air purifier uses a high-performance deodorizing filter, and a HEPA filter featuring 30% more activated carbon (by weight), which removes fine dust and odor effectively, and systematically manages the quality of air indoors. The AM310 delivers best-in-class performance with the ability to deodorize a 33m2 room more than 94%.

It also measures indoor air pollution in real-time and shows it in four levels using different color indicators (good, normal, bad, very bad). The AM310 makes it easy to understand air quality in an intuitive way, and it is convenient to control the desired cleanliness level when air quality deteriorates.

An official from Wells said, “Last year, the seasonal filter, which Wells launched on the market for the first time ever, proved to be very popular with customers. So, we decided to introduce the ‘customized filter’ system that further improves upon the seasonal filters both in terms of functionality and performance. We will deliver customers greater satisfaction by providing customized air care with our new, powerful filter system that is more efficient in collecting dust, and industry-leading customized maintenance services.”

The new Wells air purifier AM310 is perfect for spaces up to 33m2, and monthly rent costs KRW 27,900. It is also covered by the “Wells Manager” service, which, among other things, includes filter replacement services by a professional care provider every three months.
